The town of Fitzhugh is located about 10 miles southwest of Ada, Oklahoma.

Fitzhugh is home to Fossil Creek Ranch, a beautiful barn venue situated on 100 acres of land. Fossil Creek Ranch is named after the many fossils recovered on site. The venue features a rustic barn and outdoor chapel against a backdrop of oak forests.

History

The town was named in honor of General Fitzhugh Lee who served both the Confederate Army during the Civil War and the U.S. Army during the Spanish-American War. The town was once filled with general stores serving the agricultural community.
