Blue River

Bask in the Beauty of Nature at the Blue River!

Those looking for an outdoor adventure will enjoy Tishomingo's majestic Blue River. The Blue River is best known for it's abundance of trout, small-mouth bass, black bass, crappie and blue catfish. The Blue River Association plays host to two annual trout derbies, the first in November on Veteran's Day Weekend and the second in February on President's Day Weekend. Both derbies draw true blue anglers from all over the region who come to fish and compete in friendly competition for cash prizes, awards and trophies. Visitors do need a fishing license to participate in any fishing activity at Blue River. Hunting and Fishing licenses can be purchased at the nearby Chickasaw Nation Information Center.
