*Important Safety Updates for the Chickasaw Nation Welcome Center*

The health and safety of our guests and employees is our number one priority. We continue to closely monitor Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines and public health advancements, and we have implemented operational procedures and protocols that you need to know before you make your next trip to the Chickasaw Nation Welcome Center. 

  •       Chickasaw Nation Welcome Center will be limited to 10 guests at a time.
  •       All employees will wear a mask.
  •       Guests are advised to practice physical distancing leaving six feet between themselves and people not traveling with them. 
  •       Cleaning frequency is being increased throughout the facility in accordance with best practices.
  •       A sneeze guard has been installed at the retail check out stations.
  •       Hand sanitizer is available throughout the facility, at all entrances and internal doors.
  •       Masks are available for guests.

At this time, free coffee stations will remain closed. Out of an abundance of caution, all sales at the Chickasaw Nation Welcome Center will also be final until further notice.

Explore The Chickasaw Nation Welcome Center! The Chickasaw Nation Welcome Center is located at the southwest corner of Interstate-35 and State Highway 7 at Exit 55 in Davis, and across from the Bedré Fine Chocolate Factory. The Chickasaw Nation Welcome Center is also now selling hunting and fishing licenses required by the state of Oklahoma for recreational hunting and fishing. All variations of the license will be available for purchase seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

The Chickasaw Nation Welcome Center is now home to two electric vehicle charging stations!

This Quarter's Featured Artist at the Chickasaw Nation Welcome Center is Amy Gantt!

Gantt is an assistant professor at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where she teaches in both the Art and Native Studies Departments. She currently serves as a board member on the Red River Arts Council. 

Passionate about the process, she has been creating art since she was young, as it's allowed her to create and inspire herself and others continually. Gantt won first place in the graphic arts division at the 2019 Southeastern Art Show and Market exhibit and won a second-place jurors' award at the 2019 Art at the Expo in Madill, Oklahoma.

The Welcome Center provides travel information about Chickasaw Country in addition to the state of Oklahoma through trained team members, informational kiosks, and printed brochures highlighting recreational, historic, cultural tourism destinations. The 5,500-square-foot Welcome Center features original Chickasaw and other First American artwork as well as Made in Oklahoma retail items and gift items. The displayed artwork in the facility rotates throughout the year and some of the artwork is on sale while others are used as interior decoration. The facility grounds offer a children’s playground area, indoor lounge area, public restrooms, dog park, coffee service, penny press machine, vending machines and RV/Bus parking!

The Welcome Center also serves as a convenient gateway for many attractions in the area including the Chickasaw Visitor Center, Chickasaw Cultural Center, Chickasaw National Recreation Area, Chickasaw Retreat & Conference Center, ARTesian Gallery & Studios and Artesian Hotel, Casino & Spa.
