The Chickasaw Cultural Center is hosting a special week-long event to celebrate National Libraries Week. Different library related activities will take place throughout the week that all ages are sure to love.

First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association and libraries across the country each April. It is a time for all to celebrate the contributions of our nation's libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support. Be sure to bring the whole family out to Sulphur for this unique, nationally observed event!

April 8-14, 2018

  • Five Tribes Genealogy Workshop. Thursday. April 12 at 10 am and Saturday April 14 at 1 pm. Holisso Research Center.
  • Presentation: Book Preservation: Friday, April 13th at 1:00 pm in the Holisso Conference Rooms (106 & 107)
  • Bookmark-Making for all ages: Saturday, April 14th from 10:00 am -4:00 pm in the Holisso Conference Rooms
  • Chickasaw Press Display: Saturday, April 14th from 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm in the Holisso Conference Rooms
