Madelyn Goodnight has illustrated several children’s books with themes that often reflect her First American roots, including “Powwow Day,” “Look, Grandma! Ni, Elisi!” and “The Pear Tree.” She has also illustrated scenes from her favorite stories, including “Thumbelina” and “Little Women.” Her work reflects her love of childhood and innocence, which she draws on for inspiration in her art. Using a breadth of mediums and outlets, she has a diverse way of expressing her ideas and aesthetics. Raised in Oklahoma, Goodnight holds a BFA degree in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design.
The exhibit is free and open to the public.
