The Center’s exhibit season will end with a show of African Art & Artifacts culled from the vast collections of 2 local collectors. This show is designed to start a dialogue about the emergence of art for art’s sake versus the older notion that all artistic endeavors served a spiritual or ceremonial purpose. Area art educators and their students are invited to gallery talks and receptions which are always free and open to the public. Please come and enjoy a rare glimpse at centuries worth of tribal antiquities from across Africa.
