Cozy Cabins in Chickasaw Country

Hi friends! Kalli here.

Sometimes I wake up in the morning and think, "I feel like camping, but not sleeping in a tent." My style of camping is more like “glamping.” I love the stunning scenery of the outdoors, but I also need a comfy bed and A/C. Ya feel me?

Chickasaw Country is home to gorgeous lakes and waterfalls that you need to explore. What better way to explore than by spending the night at a cozy cabin and extending your trip for a day or two? Below are some of my favorite cabins at beautiful locations in south-central Oklahoma.

Blue River

Want to hang out at the Blue River in Tishomingo? The Cedar and Stone Bed and Breakfast is the perfect place for a relaxing stay! It comes with it all – a fire pit, couches made for napping, a beautiful bathroom, and delicious homemade breakfast. And it’s only a few minutes away from trout fishing at the Blue River.

Turner Falls

Turner Falls, near Davis, is Oklahoma’s largest waterfall and is one of the area’s most beautiful attractions. Deer Creek Lodge is right up the road from Turner Falls and is the perfect place for a family reunion, retreat, or even a wedding! There are multiple lodges for you to choose, from right on the water with canoes and kayaks for everyone or a pool view perfect to make a splash this summer.

If you’re looking for something a little smaller, check out the Horseshoe Springs Cabins near the Air Donkey Zipline. This is the perfect cabin for a cozy getaway for two to six people.

Chickasaw National Recreation Area

The Chickasaw National Recreation Area in Sulphur is a great place to hike and explore no matter what time of year! You will find lakes, waterfalls, and a bison herd! While you’re exploring the recreation area, make a weekend out of it and spend the night at Aspen Cabins. These are the perfect cabins to relax in after a long day exploring.

Lake Murray State Park

Are you looking for a one-of-a-kind experience? Plan a stay at the Lake Murray Floating Cabins near Ardmore. These cabins book fast, so plan your trip soon. They can host a romantic stay for two or a large family get together for 18! While you’re at Lake Murray, check out Tucker Tower and Lake Murray Water Sports in the summer months.

Lake Texoma State Park

Are you ready for a lake day at Lake Texoma? After you get off the boat spend the night at Cabin Fever Adventures at Red Rock Cabins near Kingston. Make sure to pick up groceries on the way, because these cabins come with a complete outdoor grill setup!

Other Cabins in Chickasaw Country

Looking for some other options in Chickasaw Country? Check out Allie B. Country Getaway near Ringling. This cabin sleeps seven people and is the perfect example of a hidden gem! You can bring your own ATV’s and horses to explore the property’s 1200 acres.

I hope you have fun “camping,” Kalli-style, in Chickasaw Country! While you visit, remember to use #VisitChickasaw so we can join in on the fun!

Happy exploring,
