Chickasaw Country Marketing Association

In March, 2012, The Chickasaw Nation and Arbuckle Country Marketing Association (ACMA) joined efforts towards the sustainment of tourism throughout the south-central area of Oklahoma in addition to the entire state of Oklahoma. The terms of the partnership involved changing the name of the previously designated Arbuckle Country of south-central Oklahoma to what is now Chickasaw Country in addition to changing the ACMA’s official name to Chickasaw Country Marketing Association. The merger has granted the local communities and businesses within the area the ability to benefit from the marketing efforts of two regional marketing associations.

Chickasaw Country Marketing Association is a member of the Multi-county Organizations and promotes tourism within a seven county region of South Central Oklahoma. The Multi-county organizations include Chickasaw, Great Plains, Red Carpet, Frontier, Green, and Kiamichi and are funded thru the Matching funds Program with the State of Oklahoma and thru private funds from cooperative advertising. The seven counties of Chickasaw Country Marketing Association include Love, Marshall, Johnston, Pontotoc, Garvin, Murray, and Carter. The association is governed by a thirteen member board with members serving from each of the seven counties with three board members from each of the following: Carter, Murray, and Garvin counties.
