The Pioneer Museum features an extensive collection of historical exhibits, First American artifacts, fossils, rocks, and antique guns and farm equipment. The museum also includes showcased displays of early-day kitchens, bedrooms and living rooms like those of old pioneer homes. 

The Love County Military Museum is dedicated to honoring the military men and women from Love County who lost their lives fighting for our country. The museum houses more than seven hundred photos, artifacts and war memorabilia from World War I until the present-day War in Iraq.

For a mix of shopping and history, check out Norton's Jewelry. This family-owned business is a jewelry store offering high-end jewelry at reasonable prices. The shop features jewelry items such as rings, necklaces and bracelets in multiple cuts and stones. The jewelry store also contains Norton's Indian Territory Museum, which showcases a private collection of old soda pop bottles, arrowheads, antiques, historical area documents and more.

Robertson's Ham Stand has attracted hungry travelers along I-35 and mail-order fans worldwide for over sixty years. History

Carved from the Louisiana Purchase, the county lines were set in 1887 and named after the Loves, a prominent Chickasaw family. The first settlers influenced the area with commerce, ferry crossings and some of the first trading posts in the Indian Territory. Cotton became the major crop in the late 1800s to mid-1900s, harvesting the greatest inland cotton market in the world. The town's courthouse, famous for being the first county courthouse after Oklahoma statehood, is now a popular wedding venue for couples looking to tie the knot in America's one and only County of Love. Another helpful bit of information is that Marietta is located only 14 miles from WinStar World Casino & Resort and only nine miles from Lake Murray State Park.
