Enjoy Fun on the Water at Lake of The Arbuckles!

Located 6 miles southwest of Sulphur, Lake of The Arbuckles consists of 36 miles of shoreline and 2,300 acres of open water. It was built by the Bureau of Reclamation in 1966 and forms the western portion of the Chickasaw National Recreation Area. The unusual crystal clear water and deep rock cliffs make it one of the most popular lakes for trolling, scuba diving and fishing in Oklahoma. Fishing is permitted year-round with catfish, crappie, bass and perch as top catches. Turkey, deer and small game birds can also be found on the hunting grounds. The Lake of the Arbuckles is perfect for a number of activities that combine recreational use with scenic, scientific and historic values of the Chickasaw. Bring the whole family out for a fun-filled day on the beautiful Lake of the Arbuckles!
