National Park Week at CNRA

FREE activities for an entire week in Sulphur!

Head out to the Chickasaw National Recreation Area where there will be activities galore for National Park Week, April 15th through April 23rd.  Not only is it National Park Week, it is National Junior Ranger Day on April 16th, making for an exciting way to kick-off the celebration! The fun beings at 9:30 AM with a hike and ranger programs will continue throughout the day. During National Park Week, special presentations will be offered at the Travertine Nature Center for all. Saturday April 15, National Junior Ranger Day

9:30 am – Ranger led nature walk, Travertine Nature Center, CNRA  

11:00 am - Ranger program “How do I become a Junior Ranger?” Travertine Nature Center, CNRA

1:00 pm – Film “The Nations Parks:  America’s Best Idea, The Scripture of Nature”, Anoli Theater, CCC

2:00 pm - Scavenger hunt – interactive adventure, Travertine Nature Center, CNRA

11:00 am - Meet at Chickasaw Cultural Center for horticulture tour then travel to Veterans Lake at Chickasaw National Recreation Area for wildflower walk.

Wednesday April 19
