Wag Your Tail for Bark in the Park

Hey, all you dog owners! Have you heard about the Bark in the Park event happening this weekend in Duncan? Unfortunately, I don’t own a dog, but I’m a dog aunt to Blaine, and get to doggie site occasionally. If you have a dog, or you’re a doggie aunt, make plans to visit Duncan this Saturday.

Bring your favorite furry friend to the Fuqua Park on Saturday morning. The fun begins at 11 a.m. with a variety of events for you and your pet! Dress up your pup and enter in the costume contest, who knows, you (well, your pup) could win! While there, your dog can compete in the best bark, owner-look-a-like, best trick and longest tail contests. Not a dog owner? That’s okay, you’re welcome to join too! Bring $1 and you can vote for the cutest cat photo.

There will also be pet photos, an obstacle course, a “Strut-Your-Mutt” pledge drive and a Bark Boutique and Meow Mart! Make plans to get there early, first 100 people receive a Bark in the Park goody bag!

Not only is this event fun, it is also helping the Stephens County Humane Society. The money will fund food, spay and neuter services, and medical care for thousands of animals in the Duncan area. If you can’t attend you can still donate to the Stephens County Humane Society by giving online here.

While you’re in Duncan, spend sometime outdoors with your dog at Clear Creek Lake, Duncan Lake, Lake Fuqua, or Lake Humphreys! Don’t forget to tag us in your photos using #routeCC.

Enjoy Bark in the Park,

Kalli
