A wise person once said, “Goodbyes are never easy,” and they weren’t wrong. This goodbye came sooner than I thought it would but my time as your Chickasaw Country Travel Blogger has come to an end.
Wait! Where are you going, Katie?
I’m glad you asked! I’ll be trading the cattle and wheat of Oklahoma for the corn and hogs of Iowa and starting a new chapter in life with my soon-to-be husband!
Can we please talk about my time as your Chickasaw Country Travel Blogger and what a time I’ve had! From my first Indian Taco at the Artesian Arts Festival to my first Rush Springs Watermelon (food, you always have to involve food) and even meeting Blake Shelton, it’s been a real treat traveling to some of Oklahoma’s best festivals and attractions! I’ve had such a fun time taking you on my adventures and sharing yours – lookin’ at you Instagram!
I can’t thank you enough for following along as I traversed across these 13 counties I’ve come to know and love. I’ve met some of the most genuine people in Chickasaw Country who have opened their businesses, hearts, homes and passions to me and I’ve been so honored to share every story!
If you’re worried who will be showing you around Chickasaw Country, there’s no need to fret. Drumroll please! Your new travel blogger is my friend Kalli! Kalli is an Oklahoma native whose love for this state and its people runs deep so I know you’re in good hands.
I hope you’ve enjoyed me being your eyes and ears of Chickasaw Country because I know I sure have and maybe I’ll see you down the road! Thanks for the memories, Chickasaw Country!
